Elite's venom against the masses

Our elites are at it again. They are spewing venomous criticism against the poor, the uneducated, the unwashed masses. If you identify yourself with FPJ you're an idiot. We need someone with a PhD, an LlB, etc. But where is the track record of those with letters after their names?

And they spout about the need for a strong leader in the country; the likes of Lee Kuan Yew, Mahathir, etc.

Methinks, they are afraid of democracy. Why? My favorite blogger has this to say:

Our failed elites hate democracy, for it is the very mirror of their failures and immoral equivalence with those whom they disdain. They cannot accept the people's rejection of their elitist concupisence, so they fall to ranting and raving about how stupid the masses are. They are frustrated that their moralistic prescriptions and sanctimonious sermons fall on deaf ears, not of the blind but of the chastened and cynical -- the masses who are not fooled by pious promises because it is their hunger and deprivation that angrily witness against their so-called betters. If they think the people do not see this hypocrisy then they do not see the perfect storm of defeat and rejection rumbling inexorably their way.
